If you’re ready to take this step, we’ve created a supportive and structured package to guide you through the portfolio pathway toward the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential.
Please note that the ACC credential is awarded solely by the ICF and requires applicants to meet all ICF requirements in effect at the time of application.
For applications submitted before 1 April 2027, candidates must pass the ICF credentialing exam and submit a recorded coaching session for ICF's performance evaluation.
From 1 April 2027 onward, the performance evaluation recording will no longer be required. Instead, applicants must submit a Competency Review Form completed by an appropriately qualified mentor coach who holds an ICF Mentor Coach Specialization (MCS). The ICF credentialing exam remains a requirement.
This package is designed to provide a strong foundation for both pathways. Depending on your application date and your former group mentor coaching, you may need to arrange additional elements outside this program to fulfill all ICF credentialing requirements. Our mentors for this package qualify.
While credentialing decisions are made solely by the ICF and cannot be guaranteed, all Needs-Based Coaching graduates who have pursued ICF accreditation to date have successfully obtained their credential on their first application.
What is in the package?
Core Competencies Unfoldment
Two 90-minute group sessions exploring the ICF Core Competencies in detail. You will learn what assessors look for when reviewing your session as part of your credentialing process, and you will be well supported in passing the exam.

Individual Mentoring
Three 1:1 sessions of 60 minutes with an ICF-certified mentor coach with a valid specialization—choose between Altaf Shaikh and Pernille Plantener. You record client sessions; your mentor’s feedback grows you beyond your current level, deepens your understanding, and sharpens your profile as a transformational coach.
- Self-organized between January–June 2027
Group Supervision
Four 2-hour sessions in a confidential group invite you to bring the difficult moments from your client practice and understand the challenges that this particular client brought you. As you know and let go of any entanglements, you will gain insights that will enable you to coach beyond your former limitations. You will also learn from witnessing your group members’ processes.

Discount on ‘Becoming Visible’
This is a module for start-ups eager to launch their businesses without getting lost in fruitless marketing strategies and expensive ad campaigns. Six sessions over seven weeks help you find your voice and crack the code to reach your ideal clients.
The course is facilitated by Medea Bindewald.
