Courageous Dialogue Series: Coaching in times of grief & loss

  • Needs-Based Coaching (via Zoom) (map)

How do we support a client, relative, or colleague facing heartbreak? Can we ease their pain without the hollow encouragement of “you will get over it”?

Grief is an existential condition. No one goes through life without the loss of loved ones, losing trust, or hopelessness about the state of the world. How we meet people in their brokenheartedness can either push them further into their soul’s dark night or offer them a warm hand to hold when everything else is unstable.

In this Courageous Dialogue, Pernille Plantener opens for dialogue with Majida Jean McElhaney, a graduate of Needs-Based Coaching whom we see as a grief doula, a master of presence and gentle holding of the space that so many of us shy away from, the space of the inconsolable grief.

We will gently explore the experience of grief, and the participants will have a chance to practice supporting someone in grief through roleplay and dialogue.

Attending this Courageous Dialogue is free.
A recording will be available shortly after the meeting for those who cannot participate live.
