Walking toward tomorrow
Pernille Plantener writes:
Ever find yourself scrolling through your newsfeed, only to be hit with a wave of despair? Wars rage on—Gaza, Ukraine, conflicts that fracture lives. The planet is heating up, yet we keep drilling. And humanity? Some days, it feels like we’re running an outdated operating system with a built-in glitch. Might there be a design flaw?
Pause a moment—“design flaw”? As if humanity is a finished product, stamped and sealed. We’re not. We’re still evolving. Right now, we may have more power than wisdom, but that doesn’t mean we’re stuck. Evolution is unstoppable.
I know hopelessness very well and need to remind myself of the undercurrent of transformation parallel to the heartbreaking stories. This week, two projects caught my eye—The Evolved Nest, sharing knowledge about child nesting and uplifting stories of what humanity can become, and The Earth Weavers, hosting hands-on workshops that help us reconnect with the more-than-human world. And there are so many more. Everywhere, people are taking steps toward a more responsible way of being on this planet. The keywords are community building and multi-lateral care.
The Choice Is Ours
What if humanity 2.0 meant a deeper sense of responsibility? What if we truly cared for all beings—human and non-human alike? What if we listened instead of reacting? What if every need mattered, from the quietest whisper to the ecosystem that keeps us alive?
The truth is, we do have a choice. But sometimes, old conditioning keeps us trapped in repeating the past. The same conflicts, different faces. That sinking feeling of hopelessness, again. The belief that nobody understands, that our efforts won’t make a difference.
It doesn’t have to stay this way. We can shift our lens, seek healing of our past wounds, and make choices today that bring us in a new direction. We can take the risk, ask for what truly matters to us, and put our voice and work out there, even if rejection looms. Because change doesn’t come with comfort. It takes courage to do something new.
The Call of Now: Accelerating Human Evolution
Each of us is a single cell in the evolving body of humanity. So maybe the real question is: How do we live our love for this world? How do we hold onto connection in the midst of fragmentation? How do we spark that sense of possibility—in ourselves, in others? Could we possibly move toward those we disagree with, instead of away?
Our journeys are uniquely ours. But if there’s one thing we know, it’s that we go further together. And who says we need to walk this path? We can dance.
The future is unwritten, but stumbling blindly or unintentionally repeating the past won’t take us where we want to go. We invite you into the movement—a commitment to aliveness, connection, and the evolution of a wiser human presence on this planet.
Let it be a movement of rhythm and resonance. Let it be guided by what feels right, what makes us feel we belong to each other, to the human weave. Yes, it’s about saving the world—but more than that, it’s about YOU and ME and how we can become more alive and laugh more often.
