When NVC Meets Coaching: New Ways to Support Change

SIGN UP and learn more

If you've practiced and integrated Nonviolent Communication (NVC),
you have probably felt and witnessed the transformative power of empathy.

Someone feels seen, their shoulders soften, the charge decreases,
and they notice the nuances of their feelings.

And yet...

Have you ever found yourself supporting someone who could easily identify their feelings and needs, had received plenty of empathy, understood their situation perfectly well... and still seemed stuck?

Perhaps you've wondered:

  • When is empathy enough?

  • Is my empathy good enough?

  • What would a more skilled practitioner do in my place?

In this free 60-minute session, we'll explore a question that many NVC practitioners eventually encounter:

Stuck in empathy - what then?

During the session, Pernille Plantener will explore the differences between empathic support as we know it from NVC and coaching-informed support. She will demonstrate a live process with a volunteer, and invite reflection on what coaching competencies can add to NVC practice.

The session includes:

  • A short presentation

  • Live demonstration

  • Reflection and debrief

  • Introduction to the November workshop: Beyond Empathic Listening - What Coaching Can Add to NVC Practice

Whether you're an NVC trainer, practitioner, facilitator, mediator, or coach with an NVC background, you're warmly welcome.

Pernille Plantener is an internationally recognized PCC coach, certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication, and Resonant Healing Practitioner, bringing lived experience, neuroscience-informed methods, and gentle presence to trauma-sensitive facilitation.
